Five North York Rangers will have a big opportunity to strut their stuff this summer as the city of Cornwall, Ontario is set to host the Ontario Summer Select Showcase from Aug. 10-11, 2013.

Last year assistant captain and Mercyhurst commit Patrick Piacentini will be joined by Darmouth commit Corey Kalk, future Western Michigan Bronco John Carpino, fellow Mercyhurst product Matthew Whittaker and new team arrival Patryk Wojenski.

The Showcase is a two-day event where the top Tier II Junior ‘A’ players from the three leagues in Ontario (the Ontario Junior Hockey League, Central Canada Hockey League and Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League) come together to practice and play games in front of college, professional and major junior scouts.

The OJHL, being the largest league, will have two teams, while the CCHL will have 1.5, with the other half joining a half-team consisting of NOJHL players.
